Eugene Wigner predicted (1934) that at sufficiently low density or temperature, electrons would abandon their quantum fluid state and crystallize into a triangular lattice — Coulomb repulsion wins over kinetic energy when r_s = a/a_B is large. This simulation uses classical MD with Coulomb repulsion and a neutralizing background.
