Kolmogorov-Zakharov spectrum from four-wave resonant interactions
Weak wave turbulence theory (Zakharov, 1967) predicts a steady-state energy spectrum from resonant four-wave interactions. Forcing at low k drives energy toward high k (direct cascade), producing a Kolmogorov-Zakharov power spectrum n(k) ∝ k^(-α) with a universal exponent determined by resonance conditions and symmetries.
