Voter Model — Opinion Coarsening

The voter model: each agent copies a random neighbor. Despite its simplicity, it exhibits coarsening — ordered domains grow over time. In 2D, coarsening is logarithmically slow and the system reaches consensus (fixation) in time O(N log N). Interfaces decay as t^(−1/2) in d=1, logarithmically in d=2.
