Committed minorities prevent consensus — coexistence sustained by zealot density
Opinion A: — |
Opinion B: — |
Zealots A: — / B: —
In the voter model, each agent copies a random neighbor's opinion. Without zealots,
the system reaches consensus. With zealots (fixed-opinion agents), coexistence is
sustained indefinitely. The steady-state opinion fraction is set by the zealot balance.
Red/pink = opinion A, blue/light-blue = opinion B. Darker = zealot.
