Vortex Shedding

A cylinder in a fluid flow. At low Reynolds numbers, the flow is steady and symmetric. Increase the speed and alternating vortices begin to shed — the von Karman vortex street. This is computed using a Lattice Boltzmann method on a D2Q9 lattice.
