Van der Pol Limit Cycle

The Van der Pol oscillator ẍ − μ(1−x²)ẋ + x = 0 is a nonlinear oscillator with a stable limit cycle. For small μ it's nearly sinusoidal; for large μ the system enters relaxation oscillations — slow drift punctuated by fast spikes.
