Rice-Mele Topological Charge Pump

Quantized charge transport via adiabatic Chern number winding in parameter space

The Rice-Mele model H(φ) = Σ[t+δcos(φ)]c†c + [t−δcos(φ)]c†c + Δsin(φ)n has a time-dependent parameter φ(t). As φ sweeps 0→2π, exactly one electron is transported — a topological invariant equal to the Chern number C=1 of the occupied band's Berry curvature over the (k,φ) torus.
