Topological Magnon Band Structure

Magnons on a honeycomb ferromagnet (like CrI₃) acquire a Berry curvature from the DM interaction D. This opens a topological gap in the magnon spectrum, giving a nonzero Chern number and chiral edge magnon modes — analogous to the quantum Hall effect.
