Tomonaga-Luttinger Liquid: Spinon & Holon

In 1D interacting electron systems, the Fermi liquid breaks down. Charge (holon, velocity u_c) and spin (spinon, velocity u_s) separate into independent excitations. The spectral function shows two distinct branches instead of a single quasiparticle peak.
