Multi-scale Entanglement Renormalization Ansatz and the AdS/CFT connection

MERA organizes quantum information in layers — disentanglers (diamonds) followed by isometries (triangles). The causal cone of a local operator grows logarithmically upward, mirroring geodesics in AdS. The minimal cut through the network gives the entanglement entropy S ~ c/3 · log(ℓ) matching CFT. This is the Ryu-Takayanagi formula in discrete form.
