Morse Code Telegraph

Samuel Morse's telegraph revolutionized long-distance communication in the 1830s. Messages are encoded as patterns of short signals (dots) and long signals (dashes). A dot lasts one time unit, a dash lasts three. Gaps between elements within a letter are one unit; between letters, three units; between words, seven units.
