Large droplets grow at the expense of small ones via solute diffusion through the matrix. The Gibbs-Thomson effect gives small droplets higher chemical potential (∝ 1/R). LSW theory predicts ⟨R³⟩ ~ t with a universal droplet size distribution asymptotically.
