Stars lose mass through winds: the Sun at 2×10⁻¹⁴ M☉/yr vs massive Wolf-Rayet stars at 10⁻⁵ M☉/yr. The CAK theory (line-driven winds) explains hot star winds via radiation pressure on ions.
