Magnon Dispersion — Ferromagnetic Spin Waves

Holstein-Primakoff theory maps spin waves onto bosons (magnons). The ferromagnetic dispersion ω(k) ∝ k² at low k (unlike antiferromagnets where ω ∝ k). Real-space spin precession shows the wave nature of collective spin excitations.
