Abelian Sandpile (BTW Model)

Drop grains of sand one by one. When a cell reaches threshold (≥4), it topples — donating one grain to each neighbor. This cascade is an avalanche. The long-run distribution of avalanche sizes follows a power law: P(s) ~ s^(-1.2), a signature of self-organized criticality.
