Rössler Attractor

The Rössler system (1976): ẋ = −y−z, ẏ = x+ay, ż = b+z(x−c). One of the simplest chaotic systems — a 3D strange attractor with a characteristic folded-band structure.

Proposed by Otto Rössler (1976) as a simpler alternative to Lorenz. At c≈5.7 it's chaotic. The attractor resembles a folded ribbon — one-dimensional folding creates sensitive dependence.
