Resonating Valence Bond — Rokhsar-Kivelson Point

The quantum dimer model on a 2D lattice hosts a deconfined RVB liquid phase. At the Rokhsar-Kivelson point (t=J), the ground state is an equal-weight superposition of all dimer coverings — a critical state with algebraic correlations and deconfined spinon excitations.

Quantum Dimer Model:
H = -t Σ(|⟩⟨| + h.c.) + J Σ|⟩⟨|

RK point t=J: ground state = uniform superposition. Monomer defects are deconfined — genuine topological order in 2D.

Colors show local resonance loop weight.
