Resonating valence bonds, slave-boson holon condensation, and d-wave superconductivity
Anderson (1987): a Mott insulator with frustrated exchange J develops a liquid of resonating singlet valence bonds (RVB). Doping introduces mobile holons (charge e, spin 0) and spinons (charge 0, spin ½). Slave-boson theory: holon condensation at T_BEC unlocks spinon pairing → d-wave SC with T_c ~ δ·J. The phase diagram has AF, pseudogap, and d-SC regions.
