The Replica Trick: Computing [ln Z]_J (quenched average of log partition function) is hard because log isn't linear. The trick uses: ln Z = lim_{n→0} (Z^n - 1) / n Replace n with an integer, compute [Z^n]_J = [Z_1 · Z_2 · ... · Z_n]_J for n identical replica copies, then analytically continue to n → 0.

The visualization shows replica overlap matrices Q^{ab} = (1/N)Σ_i s_i^a s_i^b. Replica Symmetry (RS) assumes Q^{ab} = q for all a≠b. RSB (Parisi) breaks this symmetry hierarchically — the order parameter becomes a function q(x) on [0,1].
