1D Quantum Walk

A quantum particle carries an internal coin state (|↑⟩, |↓⟩). At each step, the coin is flipped (Hadamard or Y-coin) and the walker shifts. Quantum interference causes ballistic spreading σ ~ t (vs classical σ ~ √t). The resulting bimodal distribution and edge peaks are signatures of quantum coherence.
