Quantum Harmonic Oscillator: Coherent & Squeezed States

The Wigner function W(x,p) is a quasi-probability distribution over phase space. Coherent states are minimum-uncertainty Gaussian blobs that rotate without spreading; squeezed states trade position uncertainty for momentum (or vice versa), violating the classical symmetry but saturating the Heisenberg bound ΔxΔp = ℏ/2.
