Quantum Oscillations — Fermi Pocket Reconstruction

Lifshitz-Kosevich SdH oscillations, Dingle damping, and CDW Fermi surface reconstruction

Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations: Δρ/ρ ∝ R_T·R_D·cos(2πF/B + φ) where F = ℏA_F/2πe is the frequency (proportional to Fermi pocket area A_F), R_T = 2π²k_BT/ℏω_c/sinh(...) is thermal damping, and R_D = exp(−2π²k_BT_D/ℏω_c) is Dingle damping from disorder. CDW reconstruction folds the Fermi surface, creating small pockets with lower frequencies.
