QUANTUM ERASER — WHICH-PATH INTERFERENCE

Double-Slit · Complementarity · Delayed Choice

EXPERIMENT SETUP

MEASUREMENTS

Visibility V: 1.00
Which-path D: 0.00
Duality: V²+D²= 1.00
Photons: 0
V² + D² ≤ 1
(Englert-Greenberger)
Measuring which slit a photon passes through destroys the interference pattern (complementarity). Erasing the which-path information — even after the photon hits the screen — can restore fringes. This is the quantum eraser effect.
