Polymer 3D Self-Avoiding Walk

A polymer chain in solution can be modeled as a self-avoiding walk (SAW) on a lattice — a path that never revisits a site. Unlike a simple random walk where end-to-end distance ⟨R²⟩ ~ N, for a SAW ⟨R⟩ ~ N^ν where ν ≈ 0.588 in 3D (Flory exponent, exactly 3/5 in mean-field). Self-avoidance mimics excluded volume interactions. Click "New Chain" to generate fresh conformations. The statistics of ⟨R²⟩ vs N reveal the scaling exponent.
