Product Rule — Discontinuous Giant Component Transition
The Achlioptas product rule: at each step, pick two candidate edges; add the one whose endpoint components have the smaller product of sizes. This suppresses large-component merging, delaying percolation — then triggering an abrupt, near-discontinuous explosion. Compare with classical Erdős–Rényi percolation (uncheck Product Rule).
