Penrose P3 tiling from Robinson triangles. Deflation splits each triangle into smaller ones by the golden ratio φ=(1+√5)/2. The ratio of thick to thin rhombi converges to φ. No translational periodicity, but 5-fold rotational symmetry. Discovered 1974.
