Miura-ori Fold

Miura-ori: a rigid origami fold pattern with one degree of freedom. The fold angle fully determines the 3D configuration — used in solar panels and deployable structures.
Miura-ori has a single DOF: folding along x compresses y and extends z simultaneously. Negative Poisson's ratio: folding in one direction causes expansion in the other (auxetic).

Fold angle relation: tan(ρ/2) = cos(α)·tan(θ/2)
