Flux Balance Analysis (FBA): find the optimal flow through a metabolic network that maximizes biomass production under stoichiometric constraints.

FBA solves a linear program: maximize c·v subject to Sv=0 (steady state), lb ≤ v ≤ ub. The stoichiometric matrix S encodes mass balance at every metabolite node. Width of arrows scales with flux magnitude.
