The Lindblad (GKSL) equation is the most general Markovian, trace-preserving master equation: dρ/dt = −i[H,ρ] + Σ_k γ_k(L_k ρ L_k† − ½{L_k†L_k, ρ}). For a two-level system (qubit) coupled to a bath, the Bloch vector (r_x, r_y, r_z) undergoes damped precession: amplitude decays at rate Γ₁=1/T₁ (energy relaxation) and coherence decays at Γ₂=1/T₂ (dephasing). The Bloch sphere visualization shows the trajectory toward the steady state.
