Full counting statistics (Levitov-Lesovik 1993): the distribution P(n) of n electrons transferred in time T through a quantum conductor. For a single channel with transmission probability T and mean N̄=T·eV/h: P(n)=C(N̄/T,n)·Tⁿ(1-T)^(N̄/T-n). Fano factor F=κ₂/κ₁=1-T characterizes sub-Poissonian shot noise.
