Steps: 0
Rule: RL
Highway: Not yet
About: Langton's Ant moves on a grid: on a white cell turn right, flip to black, step forward; on a black cell turn left, flip to white, step forward. After ~10,000 steps of seemingly chaotic behavior a stable "highway" diagonal pattern emerges and repeats indefinitely — a spontaneous order from simple rules. Multi-color variants (turmites) produce different structures. The ant is Turing-complete.
