KNOT: TREFOIL 3D

Knot Theory & Topological Invariants

A knot is a closed curve embedded in 3D space. The trefoil is the simplest non-trivial knot (crossing number 3). Drag to rotate. Torus knots T(p,q) wind p times around the torus axis and q times through the hole. Knot invariants distinguish topologically inequivalent knots.
