Jaynes-Cummings Model — Rabi Oscillations

A two-level atom coupled to a single cavity mode. With n photons, the Rabi frequency is Ωₙ = g√(n+1). Starting in |e,0⟩ (excited atom, vacuum), the atom undergoes vacuum Rabi oscillations at frequency g. Detuning Δ = ω_atom − ω_cavity slows and modifies oscillations.
