Ionic wind (electrohydrodynamic thruster): ions created near a sharp emitter electrode accelerate in the electric field toward a collector. They collide with neutral air molecules, transferring momentum and creating bulk airflow — with no moving parts. Used in silent fans, aircraft propulsion research (MIT 2018), and air purifiers.
