The Hopf fibration π: S³→S² maps the 3-sphere onto the 2-sphere. Each point on S² corresponds to a great circle (fiber) on S³. Here we stereographically project S³ into ℝ³ — the fibers become torus knots. Points on the same latitude of S² map to linked circles.
