Geodesic Sphere Builder
Icosahedron subdivision · Buckminster Fuller · frequency controls
A geodesic sphere is constructed by subdividing an icosahedron's triangular faces and projecting vertices onto the unit sphere. The frequency f determines how many subdivisions: each triangle becomes f² sub-triangles. Used in architecture (Buckminster Fuller's domes), virology (viral capsid structure), and finite element meshes. Euler characteristic: V − E + F = 2.
