Standard homing drive: In heterozygotes (D/WT), Cas9+sgRNA on the drive allele cuts the WT chromosome, which is then repaired by HDR using the drive as template — copying itself. Allele frequency rises super-Mendelian (>50% inheritance). Can spread to fixation even from low initial frequency.
