Fractionalization & Slave-Boson

In the slave-boson approach, the electron is split: c_σ = f_σb†, where f is a neutral spinon (fermionic) and b is a charged holon (bosonic). Condensation of b drives the Mott-metal transition; spinons and holons carry separate quantum numbers.
