A 1D tight-binding chain driven by a periodic field E(t)=A cos(ωt) acquires Floquet-Bloch quasienergies ε(k). The drive renormalizes the hopping: t_eff = t·J₀(A/ω), generating band-gap closings (dynamical localisation) and band inversions when J₀ vanishes at A/ω ≈ 2.405.
