In Verlinde's 2011 framework, gravity is not a fundamental force but an emergent entropic effect. Information stored on holographic screens obeys ΔS = 2πk_B mc Δx/ℏ, and the Unruh temperature experienced by an accelerating test mass gives F = ma via the thermodynamic identity F = TΔS/Δx.
