Energy-conserving hard sphere collisions in a closed box
Elastic collisions conserve both kinetic energy and momentum. For equal-mass balls, velocities exchange upon head-on collision. The Maxwell-Boltzmann speed distribution emerges from random initial conditions. Total kinetic energy ΣKE = ½Σmv² is conserved (modulo numerical error).
