In an electrolyte, mobile ions screen a charge q. The electrostatic potential φ(r) = (q/4πε₀ε_r) · e^(−r/λ_D)/r decays exponentially with Debye length λ_D = √(ε₀ε_r k_B T / 2n₀e²). Tune ionic strength and temperature to see screening change.
