The Cellular Potts (Graner-Glazier) model assigns each lattice site to a cell ID. Cells evolve by Metropolis spin-copy attempts. Energy includes adhesion (J terms at cell-cell interfaces) and volume elasticity (cells resist changing size). Low J between same-type cells drives clustering — reproducing Steinberg's 1963 Differential Adhesion Hypothesis for embryonic cell sorting. Press "Mix" to scramble, then watch sorting emerge.
