Rules (B3/S23)

Birth: dead cell with exactly 3 live neighbors → lives
Survival: live cell with 2 or 3 neighbors → survives
Death: otherwise → dies

The Gosper Glider Gun (1970) was the first known pattern that grows without bound — proving Life is not eventually periodic. Gliders are information carriers in Life computers (Turing complete!).
