Cavity QED — Jaynes-Cummings Model

A two-level atom coupled to a single quantized cavity mode. Vacuum Rabi oscillations arise from the quantized light-matter interaction: |g,1⟩ ↔ |e,0⟩. The collapse and revival of Rabi oscillations reveal the quantum nature of the field.
