Coloring a square with 2 colors under rotation: 4 rotations. Identity fixes all 2^4=16. Rotation by 90°/270° fixes only those where all cells match (2). By 180° fixes those where opposite pairs match (4). Average: (16+2+4+2)/4 = 6 distinct colorings.
