Baryogenesis & Sakharov Conditions

Sakharov's three conditions for the matter–antimatter asymmetry of the universe: baryon number violation, C and CP violation, and departure from thermal equilibrium.

Sakharov (1967): baryogenesis requires (1) baryon number violation [sphaleron processes], (2) C and CP violation [CKM phase in Standard Model, δ_CP ≈ 1.2 rad], (3) departure from thermal equilibrium [electroweak phase transition]. Observed: η = n_B/n_γ ≈ 6×10⁻¹⁰.
