Andreev Reflection — BTK Model

At a normal-metal/superconductor interface, an incident electron can be Andreev reflected as a hole, transferring a Cooper pair into the superconductor. The BTK model predicts the differential conductance dI/dV as a function of voltage, gap Δ, and barrier strength Z.

Δ (gap, meV) 1.00
Z (barrier) 0.5
T (temp, K) 0.05
Blue: dI/dV (normalized to normal state)  |  Z=0: perfect interface, Z→∞: tunnel limit  |  Dashed: |V|=Δ
