Adaptive Network Coevolution — Rewiring

Opinions and network topology evolve together — fragmentation vs consensus

Holme-Newman adaptive voter model: at each step, either a discordant edge is rewired (probability p) or opinions copy along it (probability 1-p). High p leads to fragmentation into opinion-homogeneous communities; low p allows consensus. The transition between fragmentation and consensus is a non-equilibrium phase transition.
